implantable insulin pumps

Last reviewed 01/2018

Relative to CSII, an implantable, programmable pump supplying insulin intravenously or intraperitoneally provided excellent glycaemic control with few hypoglycaemic episodes. It is sited subcutaneously in the lower left abdomen and only required filling on average once every two months.
