  • retroperitoneal tumour arising in the lymph nodes or soft tissues of the pelvis or the posterior abdominal wall
  • aneurysm of the external or common iliac artery
  • ruptured epigastric artery
  • chondroma ilium
  • malignant change in undescended testis
