Surgical procedures for Raynaud's Phenomenon are usually a last resort after unsuccessful drug treatment.
Alternatives include:
- cervical sympathectomy - produces only a short improvement and has now fallen out of favour
- lumbar sympathectomy - valuable for intractable Raynaud's phenomenon of the feet
- digital sympathectomy - relieve severe pain and heals ulcers in patients with critical ischaemia
- procedures to counter the damage of ischaemia:
- debridement
- removal of infected nails
- amputation
