Management of electric shock involves:
- rescuer safety is of paramount importance
- turn off the current
- ABC's of CPR
- protect cervical spine, treat injuries
- intravenous volume replacement for severe burns
- mannitol 25 g IV, then 12.5 g/hr for 6 hours if there is myoglobinuria
