Further management of a near drowning after the arrival of ambulance equipment or the tranfer to hospital, includes:
- suction as needed
- bronchodilators
- normal saline or Hartmann's solution
- cardiac monitor and pulse oximetry
- rewarm in hypothermia
- check full blood count, electrolytes
- blood gases
- chest radiology
- infection screen
