Treatment of infection is essential as required.

The underlying immune-deficiency usually improves with time as ectopic thymic tissue becomes active. T cell function is usually normal by the age of 5 years.

The hypocalcaemia must be treated with calcium.

Similarly ectopic parathyroids develop with age.

Foetal thymic transplant has been effective in some cases of DiGeorge syndrome.
