Features include:
- polyhydramnios prenatally
- often preterm delivery, secondary to the polyhydramnios
- in the first days of life:
- profuse watery diarrhoea
- excessive weight loss
- dehydration
- abdominal distension in many cases, which has resulted in unnecessary laparotomies being performed for supposed intestinal obstruction.
