Dimercaprol is a heavy metal antidote used in the treatment of poisoning with:
- antimony
- arsenic
- bismuth
- gold
- mercury
- thallium
- lead - as a adjunct with sodium caliumedetate
It is not used in poisoning with:
- iron
- cadmium
