- T1S - carcinoma in situ
- T1 - carcinoma in one anatomical site within the larynx
- T2 - carcinoma in two regions within the larynx but with mobile vocal cords
- T3 - fixation of vocal cord
- T4 - extends outside of the larynx e.g. thyroid, tongue
