dysostosis multiplex congenita

Dysostosis multiplex congenita is a radiological finding of a number of related features, including:

  • dolicocephaly
  • spatulate ribs - oar-like
  • wide diaphyses and narrow epiphyses
  • wide metacarpals, phlanges, metatarsals - bullet-like
  • hypoplastic acetabulae
  • kyphoscoliosis
  • platyvertebrae
  • ossification defects of the lower vertebral bodies
