Raeder's syndrome

Raeder's syndrome consists of:

  • facial pain:
    • similar to the tic douloureux of trigeminal neuralgia
    • over the distribution of the ophthalmic and maxiallary divisions of the trigeminal nerve

  • partial Horner's syndrome:
    • ptosis
    • miosis
    • no anhidrosis

The aetiology is unknown.

Treatment consists of analgesia.
