The clinical features of cylindroma include:

  • multiple lesions predominantly of the scalp in the familial form, single lesions on the scalp or face in the sporadic form
  • papules or nodules:
    • dome-shaped
    • smooth surface
    • frequent telangiectases
    • pinkish, skin-coloured
    • can be painful
  • may be associated with concurrent trichoepithelioma
