cardiomyopathy

The cardiomyopathies are diseases of heart muscle of unknown aetiology. They present with unexplained congestive cardiac failure.
They are classified into three groups:
- dilated cardiomyopathy
- hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- restrictive cardiomyopathy
