- women with, or known to be at risk of, cardiovascular disease
- not recommended in smokers over 35 years-of-age
- hepatic or renal impairment
- asthma and chronic obstructive airways disease
- because of antiglucorcorticoid properties of mifepristone, it is not recommended for women taking long-term corticosteroid therapy
