• walks more steadily but some normal children are not walking yet, particularly bottom shufflers
• very active, some constructive activity, for example building two or three cubes into a tower, putting the lid on the box
• note stability and gait pattern
• can stoop and pick up an object from the floor without overbalancing
• can push or pull toys around the floor
• can run for a short distance
