Later in pregnancy the diagnostic emphasis is on foetal wellbeing and localisation.
Ultrasonography may be used for the following:
- diagnosis of a malpresentation
- diagnosis of multiple pregnancy
- placental localisation
- assessing placental morphology
- assessing foetal growth
