  • cutaneous changes may be a part of CREST syndrome
  • eosinophilic fasciitis - occurs in association with eosinophilia and hypergammaglobulinaemia. There is widespread thickening of the skin as a result of inflammation of the fascia. It may occur following excessive muscle exercise.
  • pseudoscleroderma - porphyria cutanea tarda, acromegaly, carcinoid syndrome
  • mixed connective tissue disease
  • morphoea
  • chemically induced - vinyl chloride, pentazocine, bleomycin
