clinical features

  • may present with slowly evolving scaly erythematous patches
  • sites frequently affected include the upper arms, trunk, buttocks and thighs
  • there may be a slow progression and extension of the disease into plaques and eventually tumours
  • the symptomatology associated with this disease is variable and ranges from being asymptomatic to severe itching
  • often the disease is initially diagnosed as eczema or psoriasis
