Urinary incontinence:
- alpha blockers are contraindicated (1)
Gout:
- diuretics may precipitate gout
Heart failure:
- rate-limiting calcium antagonists are contraindicated
Heart block
- beta-blockers and rate-limiting calcium antagonists are contraindicated
Asthma and COPD:
- beta blockers are contraindicated
Peripheral vascular disease:
- beta blockers; ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor antagonists are used with caution because of an association with renal artery stenosis
Renal artery stenosis:
- ACE inhibitors and angiotensin II receptor antagonists are contraindicated
