- clinical features
- usually pyuria
- rarely haematuria
- gradual onset with mild symptoms. Symptoms include vaginal discharge, bleeding (if there is a concomitant cervicitis), and lower abdominal pain. There may be a history of a new sexual parter. On examination cervicitis or vulvovaginal herpetic lesions may be seen.
