ANA's may cause:
- bone marrow suppression
- anaemia
- thrombocytopaenia
- leukopaenia
The association of bone marrow suppression with pancreatitis is a feature of ANA toxicity. This combination is also seen in an inherited mitochondrial disease called Pearson's marrow-pancreas syndrome.
