gait in upper motor neurone hemiplegia

A hemiplegic gait is the style of walking that is seen in a patient with upper motor neurone disease.
It is characterized by:
- arm adducted and internally rotated
- elbow is flexed and pronated
- fingers may be flexed
- the foot is plantar flexed and the leg is swung in a lateral arc
