CRP(no increase)

Little or no rise in ACP/CRP occurs in:

  • osteoarthritis
  • SLE
  • leukaemia
  • anaemia
  • polycythaemia
  • viral infection
  • ulcerative colitis
  • pregnancy
  • oestrogens or steroids

As a comparison, CRP DOES rise in the following related conditions:

  • inflammatory arthritides
  • vasculitides
  • carcinoma
  • infarction (MI, PE)
  • bacterial infection
  • Crohns disease
  • burns and necrosis
  • tissue rejection
