right surface (heart, anatomy)

The right surface of the heart consists mainly of the right surface of the right atrium. It lies anterior to the hilus of the right lung and it is separated from the cardiac impression on its mediastinal surface by the layers of pericardium and pleura.

The right surface is convex superoinferiorly. Its upper margin merges with the superior vena cava above and the inferior vena cava below.
