thermoregulation (anaesthesia)

General anaesthetics, with or without the effects of surgery, may have important complications related to interference with thermoregulation:
- hypothermia in the operating theatre
- malignant hyperpyrexia
Temperature needs to be closely monitored regularly throughout the course of general anaesthesia.
