The clinical features of radial polydactyly will depend on the extent of duplication. The two thumb digits may be mismatched in size or occasionally, of similar size. The interphalangeal joints may show angulation. The first web space may be narrowed; this can be addressed with pre-operative splinting. Both digits may show anomalous stability - tested by lateral stress - and mobility - indicated by a lack of flexion creases.
