- labyrinthitits/epidemic vertigo with persistent symptoms
- benign positional vertigo
- Meniere's disease
- transient ischaemic attacks
- migraine
- multiple sclerosis
- post-traumatic vertigo
- chronic middle ear pathology e.g. cholesteatoma
- acoustic neuroma
