Neoplasia of the nails may manifest as:

  • peri-ungual warts
  • peri-ungual fibroma: in those with tuberous sclerosis
  • glomus tumour: painful to touch and with change in ambient temperature; surgially-excised
  • subungual exostoses: usually secondary to bone trauma; surgically-excised
  • malignant melanoma
