Causes of myocardial ischaemia include:
- coronary artery stenosis
- left ventricular hypertrophy in aortic stenosis
- aortic regurgitation may result in myocardial ischaemia
- hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- in some cases dilated cardiomyopathy may cause myocardial ischaemia
- anaemia - this is rarely a cause of myocardial ischaemia but may be an exacerbating factor
- carbon monoxide poisoning
