  • phentermine is a centrally acting catecholamine which was previously licensed in the UK as a short-term adjunct to conservative therapy in obese patient.

  • the Medicines Control Agency withdrew its licence on April 9th 2000. This was because of concerns that anoretic drugs such as phentermine are linked to pulmonary hypertension and valvular disorders
