regulation (isocitrate dehydrogenase)
Last reviewed 01/2018
Isocitrate dehydrogenase is non-equilibrium and flux-generating within the tricarboxylic acid cycle. It exists in 2 subtypes which are affected by different sets of regulators:
- NAD-linked dehydrogenase:
- stimulated by:
- increasing concentration of NAD
- increasing concentration of ADP
- increasing concentration of calcium
- inhibited by increasing concentration of NADH
þþ stimulated by increasing concentration of NADP
- inhibited by increasing concentration of NADPH
