immunoglobulin (human normal)

Human normal immunoglobulin is extracted from the plasma of at least 1000 blood donors and it contains antibodies to common viral infections.
It is administered via intramuscular injection in the case of prophylaxis, but in some cases may be given intravenously.
Human normal immunoglobulin should not be administered less than 2 weeks after immunization with a live vaccine, and live vaccines should not be administered within 12 weeks of an immunoglobulin injection.
