femoral triangle

The femoral triangle is situated in the anterior, superior part of the thigh. Its boundaries are:
- medially: medial border of adductor longus
- laterally: medial border of sartorius
- superiorly: inguinal ligament
In the floor of the triangle are, from medial to lateral:
- adductor longus
- pectineus
- iliopsoas
Its roof is formed by fascia.
The contents of the femoral triangle are, from medial to lateral:
- femoral vein
- deep femoral lymph nodes
- femoral artery
- femoral nerve
