Features on investigation include:
- tramline calcification on skull radiology; it is the cortex which is calcified
- angiography demonstrates dilated deep cerebral veins and decreased cortical
drainage
- gyriform or serpentine calcification as revealed by CT is characteristic
of Sturge Weber syndrome (1)
- MRI is useful to detect leptomeningeal angiomatosis in Sturge Weber syndrome
