Glomerulonephritides are classified by histological appearance under:
- light microscopy
- electron microscopy
- immunofluorescence
Glomerulonephritides may be either:
- minimal change
- diffuse - affecting all glomeruli to a similar degree
- focal - affecting only a proportion of glomeruli whilst the remainder are normal
- segmental - in which only parts of an affected glomeruli are diseased whilst the remainder is histologically normal
proliferative glomerulonephritides
