The most common malignancy in the chest wall is chondrosarcoma which appears as a lobulated, smooth, firm mass often showing cortical destruction on radiographs.
Other types include:
- Ewing's sarcoma
- lymphoma
- plasmacytoma
- osteogenic sarcoma
- neurosarcoma
- fibrosarcoma
- liposarcoma
- angioplastic sarcoma
- metastases - either from extension or blood borne. Commonly, from sarcomas or with primaries in the breast, kidney, lung, or thyroid.
