diabetes (cutaneous manifestations)

There are a wide array of possible cutaneous manifestations of diabetic disease.
These include:
- necrobiosis lipoidica
- granuloma annulare
- predisposition to infection - candidiasis, staphylococcal
- diabetic dermopathy - pigmented scars over shins
- vitiligo
- pruritus
- eruptive xanthomas
- neuropathic ulcers
- atherosclerosis
- tight waxy skin on fingers
- ulcers due to neuropathy or ischaemia
- fat atrophy or hypertrophy at insulin injection sites
