range of psychiatric effects
- include aggression, dysthymia, psychosis, and criminal behavior
- in addition to aggression and mania, AAS use is also associated with delusions of grandeur, euphoria, criminal behavior, and acute confusional states
- research has shown that subjects using AAS also exhibit dependency on other substances
