Cylindromas are:
- benign tumours which are derived from sweat glands or hair follicles
- particularly common on the scalp where they may be multiple (turban tumour)
- occasionally familial with autosomal dominant inheritance
Management includes excision biopsy of the skin lump with subsequent histology.
